Ruby is currently in a loving foster home with her sister Bijou. Her foster Mum calls her Ruby or Bachi. She is independent but also super loving and loves to give cuddles. She is a gently big sister and lounges most of the day. Still working on toilet training, she loves company and will give calm gentle kisses to everyone.
Ruby was born into a litter of 13 -- 9 sisters and 3 brothers! When Ruby and her siblings arrived in our care at 5 weeks old, they were scared, timid and very unsure of people. We set about getting their health and wellbeing up to date, with some high quality puppy appropriate food, worming, vaccinations and flea/tick treatment. When they were old enough to start socialisation at Collie and Co. we slowly introduced them to the socialisation protocol, recalling how nervous they were that first day, it was clear these guys had probably not had a lot of human contact in their short lives. Within one day of socialising at the cafe, their outlook changed completely. Instead of trembling and hiding at new sounds, sights, people, they would run around confidently, playing and exploring! And when they tired, they would jump into the first lap they could find for cuddles!
