Feeding Guide.
When feeding your dog or cat Raw Boost, no other supplements or commercial dry food is needed, it is a completely balanced diet and can be fed as a sole food source. In regards to how much to feed your pet, with adult dogs over 12 months you start will 2-3% of their body weight daily. For example a 20kg dog would need between 400 grams and 600 grams daily. Personally, we like to feed just once a day, in the morning so they have energy to burn during the day, however the daily amount can be split into two meals or three meals per day. With one starve day per week as their digestive system isn't made to eat every day. Most dogs try to do this naturally but humans take this as they are fussy and give them other options. For dogs with high metabolisms, working dogs, dogs that are very active and younger dogs under 12 months, the percentage will be quite higher 5%. When you start to feed a raw diet be sure to note your dogs body score condition and weight so you are able to monitor if there is weight loss or gain over the next few weeks and adjust your percentage accordingly. I feed my 13 month old, 22kg Border Collie male 1.1kg of raw a day, which is equal to 5% of his ideal body weight as he is both young and has a high metabolism.
How to serve Raw Boost.

Defrost your Raw Boost roll in the fridge overnight or for 24 hours, stand the roll up and pierce the plastic with a knife facing away from yourself (Raw Boost is fresh minced meat, not a solid processed roll and sometimes will squirt blood when opened). Empty contents into a bowl or plate and serve. Any uneaten portion should be returned to the fridge and used within 48 hours. We use plates to serve our raw to our dogs and puppies as it is easier for them to eat rather than in a bowl, but you can use either.
